Sign up today to attend the next Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend; Listen to God’s voice and let Him strengthen, renew, rekindle and bless your marriage sacrament. Couples Shared Prayer Retreat Oct. 11-13, 2013
Married couples, whether you tied the knot three months ago or fifty years ago, we invite you to attend the annual Holy Trinity Couples Shared Prayer Retreat to be held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 11-13, at Cordi Marian Retreat Center. Enjoy time away with your spouse as you get ideas for beginning or improving your prayer life together as a couple and family. You’ll laugh and cry as other couples share their life experiences through formal speeches or when you’re simply seated at dinner talking with companions. We’ll pray and play for two days, all the while keeping the Lord at the center of it all with Mass, reconciliation, adoration, the rosary, and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
Print out the registration form from the website and turn it in along with your $300, to Ana Rosa Lane in the parish offices. Closer to the event, we will begin registering couples after Mass.
Parish Prayer Chain
To initiate prayer for special needs and intentions, contact in the evening Jan Ermis at 497-8613 or summit a prayer request here.
Spiritual Direction
Spiritual Direction is an action of the Holy Spirit (the true spiritual director). A spiritual director offers a gentle, non-judgmental and confidential place of welcome, listens with sacred presence, and attends to the entire person. Prayer, contemplation and personal reflection are important to the process of spiritual direction. Typically, sessions with a spiritual director are once-a-month and last 45 minutes to 1 hour. For more information contact Spiritual Directors: Mary Wilder at (830) 980-8412 or Cynthia Gdula at (210) 481-5414 or Laila Arias at (210) 872-3127.
Teams of Our Lady
Teams of Our Lady (TOOL) is a world wide lay movement within the Catholic Church which aims to help married couples grow in their love of Christ and each other. The TOOL movement recognizes that Christian marriage is a precious gift that needs to be nurtured. A team consists of five to seven married couples and a spiritual counselor, usually a Priest. They meet together monthly in each other's home. The monthly meeting includes a simple meal, a time of scripture, prayer and reflection, and a time of discussion of a study topic. Questions can be addressed to Ronnie and Mary Montemayor ronniemontemayor714@gmail.com or marymontemayor714@gmail.com
Divine Mercy Cenacle
A Divine Mercy Cenacle is a group of people who meet weekly in the Banquet Hall for prayer, song, and discussion on Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of St. Maria Faustina. The revelations given to St. Faustina are excellent for spiritual growth and also give a deeper understanding of our merciful Lord.
