At the meeting held on October 26
th, we had (60) parishioners show up. The meeting began with a short historical presentation of how we got here; followed by a power point presentation on the proposed building and that was followed by a financial report on the status of where we are in regards to funding the new project. That was followed by questions and answers and points of clarification and concerns. The next step is to have a feasibility study of the parish to see how much is the parish as a whole willing to pledge over a three (3) year period for this new structure. Since the meeting, I received – as did other parishes- an email from the Archbishop in regards to the Archdiocesan Capital Campaign that is also being undertaken. This is to begin from what we have been told in July 2017. The email instructed those who have not yet received permission to begin a Capital Campaign – and Holy Trinity is one of those who do not – not to begin their campaign until the Clergy Committee meets in January 2017 to help determine the priorities for the Archdiocese. In the meantime, outside of the feasibility study of the parish, the rest is on hold for the time being. Appreciation is given to all those who have been part of the process to this point. We will keep the parish informed as future steps will be taken as needed and are developed. Hopefully this message keeps everyone abreast as to where we stand today and where we want to go into the future.
