STAFF MEETING HIGHLIGHTS
The following are highlights from the Staff Meeting held on April 26, 2011

Opening Prayer:Staff shared prayer over scripture passage: Acts 2:42-47.
John [w/ Craig reporting for him]: A reminder to the staff that one must go through John before asking Joaquin for some kind of assistance. He does have regular duties that get pushed back when other requests are made of him by staff…Alcoholics Anonymous will have their regular meetings here at Holy Trinity on Monday evenings, 7-9PM, in the KC Room. This is currently an indefinite schedule...We also have an Eagle Project that is 80% complete. Peter Therriat is handling this. He is making an inventory of the various Church items that we currently have.
Craig: A reminder to all that are hours are 8:30AM-5PM, M-F; 5PM-8PM, M-Thursday; and 9AM-12Noon on Saturday…There is no comp time and no overtime at Holy Trinity…The calendar needs to be accessible to all staff members. Cecilia can help set up those who do not have it…Copies of your individual staff reviews will be given out upon completion of all reviews.
Kristin: Sacramental Preparation– First Communion weekend is May 7thand 8th. We currently have 173 children scheduled as follows: Saturday,May 7 @ 11AM = 75; 5PM = 39; Sunday, May 8 @ 8AM = 2; 9:30AM = 13; 11:15AM = 28; 1PM = 8; and 5:30PM = 8…May Crowning– Faith Formation children will be leading a rosary after crowning the statue of Mary in the courtyard on May 4that 6PM. All are invited…Catechist and Parent Surveys/Evaluations– Eric will report on the feedback from catechists and parents regarding our Faith Formation program based on information we received from our end of year evaluations. Handouts were given to Msgr. Mike in regards to this. It is a means of getting feedback from both the catechists and the participants...Annual report is forthcoming…Will be working with the children in the fall on the implementation of the 3rdEdition of the Roman Missal…Achievement Program will be working with parents and child along with the particular catechist…Meetings– Kristin and Eric attended the Northeast/North Central Deanery Meeting on Tuesday, April 12that Holy Spirit. This was the last deanery meeting for this year. We will be attending the Catechetical Ministry Retreat at Oblate on May 10th…VBS– The theme for this year’s VBS is “PandaMania” and VBS will take place June 13-17. We are currently recruiting adult and teen volunteers to help staff our VBS. Currently, we have 16 adult volunteers and 50 teens committed to helping from 9-noon Monday through Friday the week of VBS. VBS registration for children who have just completed Kindergarten (youngest) to just completing 5thgrade (oldest) will begin online on May 1st. Payment must be made in the Faith Formation office within 3 days of registering online in order to complete the registration process…Building Needs– The movable wall that divides St. Simon and St. Peter is broken. The broken panel needs to be repaired or replaced before VBS…The Faith Formation Building will need to be cleaned daily during the week of VBS.
Doug:Due to the large crowds on Easter Sunday, some of the restrooms needed checking out.
Sherry:Website has both the requirements for Baptism and Quinceañera celebrations. These are both in English and Spanish…A reminder of David Seguin’s ordination to the permanent diaconate on June 4th, 10AM at St. Mark’s Church. He will diaconate and preach at the 11:15AM mass on June 5th. A reception is tentatively being scheduled for 12:30PM-2:30PM in the Banquet Hall following the liturgy… Transition Committee for the implementation of the 3rdEdition of the Roman Missal is scheduled for Thursday, May 4that 7PM.
Cecilia: She requested that the temperature in her office be raised, oftentimes cold in there…One’s deductions are on your payroll check…Thank you for adding the coding from the general ledger. It helps Lizzette and the processing of bills.
Msgr. Mike:We may be in need of an additional maintenance person, perhaps part time, perhaps full time. We are looking to see what is best…He will be gone to Albuquerque NM for the annual National Federation of Priests’ Councils Conference, May 1-6th. He is on the Board of Directors for this national organization…Calendaring took place with the Staff… Closing Prayer:Led by Msgr. Mike
