The following are highlights from the Staff Meeting held on October 6, 2010.

Craig: He reported that the Parish Offices hours have expanded and it has been twenty (20) working days since this began….He shared a handout on the Employee Heath Fair to be held at St. Mary Magdalene on October 29th, from 1-5PM. His concern is the traffic at that time. Flu Shots will be available at the Health Fair. There is a sign for the Staff. He has surgery scheduled for October 29th as well…He also handed out the holiday schedule where the Staff will not be working for 2011.
John: Flu Shots from Walgreen’s will be available on the next two Sundays, October 10th and 17th, from 9AM-3PM in the Banquet Hall, the KC Room. They are free with insurance card. Otherwise the cost is $29.95. The shot is a combination one. Msgr. Mike encouraged the Staff to take part in this Health Fair…Parking lot lights are out in some areas. Friday (8) they are to be replaced.
ZZ: She is offering a report from Sherry. The RCIA has twenty-six (26) adults, three (3) of whom are catechumens and the rest are candidates. The RCIA for Children has twenty-five (25) of which eight (8) are catechumens. Catechumens are those who have never been baptized and lack all three (3) of the initiation sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Candidates are those who are baptized but lack the other initiation sacraments. Msgr. Mike reminded the Staff that there is no such thing as “RCIC” – Rite of Christian Initiation of Children. What takes place is that the adult rite is adapted for children…We had the Blessing of the Animals on October 4th at 5:30PM at the Pavilion. We had about eighty (80) animals. Msgr. Cecilia: The Spanish Mass needs listing on our marquee…There were no issues from the staff in regards to the budget or finances…We are moving the “Rizzo graph” to the Parish Offices from Faith Formation. The FF personnel are fine with that. It is a leased item and it would be best for the company to move the machine itself…A reminder: Please don’t open any junk mail. It could harm our website with a virus… Postage log needs implementation. Please ID what the postage is for. Thanks…In the processing of the payroll, it is preferred to do it early, the night before is best. The information goes to Dianna. Dianna will send a calendar to those who need it as to when the payroll is due.
Kristin: Faith Formation has some concerns about the usage of the various rooms in the building. As FF prepares for its classes; some items are removed or gone when other organizations or groups use the room. The encouragement is to be both proactive and reactive: proactive in reminding those who use the rooms what is expected of them and the use of the room and reactive in that they will be held accountable for the room being ready for the next use. Clean up is also expected to be done by the particular group. Trash will still be taken out by the maintenance staff. Her report included the following:
