The goal is to create an interactive experience for families that (1) incorporates a preselected Saint, (2) that points us closer to Christ through the life of the Saints, (3) all via a fun fall event of games and activities.
Using the ideas suggested in the saint Sign Up you selected, devise a way to create a simple activity at your trunk that incorporates the saint and the saint's theme. You can even get creative in how you distribute goodies. You can keep your plans as simple or as over the top as you’d like. The goal is to introduce families to the many saints in heaven,
Trunks may choose to incorporate fun/friendly decorations, costumes that engage children, honor our church and the saint theme. Hosts are encouraged to be creative with the themes they select and have fun.
Please plan to provide the prize item that you hope to pass out to children, we anticipate 400 children, not all children have to receive a big prize (prayer card, book mark), some could simply receive a small candy or other treat. If you have an activity that involves a craft, the craft is the child's 'prize' If you need to print something to make your prize, please let the Faith Formation staff
We really don't know how many children to expect, but the best guess would be 300-400+ children.
We ask that Trunk Hosts supply the initial round (or two) of candy/treats for your vehicle, but through donations from the Holy Trinity community, we hope to supply additional candy refills from our "Donations Drive" available to those running out of supplies.
Plan to distribute candy from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
At this time, we are praying for great weather. Should the forecast take a turn, please know, the event WILL GO ON via our RAIN PLAN, i.e., we will move from an outdoor Saints Fest to an indoor Fest. All activities will move inside into the Holy Trinity Banquet Hall where we will swap our trunk activities for tables. Please plan to participate rain or shine!
